The Opportunity This role supports the Construction Director and finance team, focusing on compliance, subcontractor payments, payroll, and project reporting. Key Responsibilities Payroll & Awards Compliance Process payroll in line with construction awards and EBAs Manage allowances, overtime, RDOs and entitlements Liaise with project teams to validate timesheets and site-based inputs Subcontractor Payments & Compliance (BIF Act) Administer progress claims and subcontractor payments under the BIF Act Prepare payment schedules and manage retention obligations Maintain trust accounts and support compliance with QBCC and legislative requirements Accounts & Reporting Oversee accounts payable and receivable across project activities Assist with monthly reporting, reconciliations, GST, BAS, and payroll tax Provide cashflow forecasts and support budget alignment Project Support & Financial Control Partner with Construction Director, PMs and Contract Administrators Provide financial insights to assist in project delivery and compliance Reconcile retentions and manage project trust accounts Ideal Candidate Minimum 3 years' experience in construction accounting or project finance Solid understanding of the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act Experience with payroll under construction awards Exposure to systems such as Jobpac, Cheops, Viewpoint, Xero, MYOB or similar Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance CPA/CA qualified or working towards (desirable but not essential) You’ll Bring High attention to detail and strong sense of accountability Comfortable working across both site and office environments Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines A solid grasp of construction-specific cost structures Connecting Talent with Opportunity.
